(More customer reviews)My 10 month old likes high stimulus, so she seems to get bored with her toys quickly and doesn't think much of toys that don't DO something. This piano has a lot going on and so far it's been enough to keep her entertained better than any other toy.
Primarily I like its design. The 'composer' function doesn't just play one song quickly, repeatedly and loudly as most piano toys with some kind of 'demo' function do. When the baby hits a key, it plays one phrase. The next time a key is pressed gets another musical phrase. It's pleasant to listen to, you aren't left with one short tune running through your head and there's seven different melodies. In short, it seems like someone put some thought into what would make a piano toy fun and interesting to play with. It doesn't feel like it's been dumbed down on the assumption that parents don't care and babies don't know the difference.
